Trust & data

Last updated: 10 June 2026
The short version. The calculators run entirely in your browser, so the figures you type never reach us. If you choose to have a payslip or P60 audited, the file is sent to our AI provider only to read the numbers back to you — it isn't stored, isn't used to train anything, and isn't sold. We don't show ads and we don't sell data.

1. Built privacy-first

Every calculator — take-home, tax-code checks, overtime, redundancy and the rest — runs locally in your browser. The salary and tax details you enter stay on your device and are never transmitted to us.

2. Payslip and P60 audits

The AI audit is the only feature that sends anything off your device, and only when you choose to upload. The document is passed to our AI provider through a secure server connection purely to read the figures back and reconcile them. We don't keep the file, we don't use it to train models, and we never sell or share it.

3. The Penny assistant

Penny answers questions about using PayGlance and understanding pay and tax. Her replies run through a secure server proxy that holds the rules, so she stays on-topic and is barred from revealing the app's code, keys or infrastructure, or anything about other users. She offers general guidance, not regulated financial advice.

4. No ads, no data sales

PayGlance shows no advertising and sells no data. Site analytics are cookieless and aggregate only — we measure how pages perform, not who you are.

5. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS throughout). Any AI keys are held on the server and never exposed to the browser. We follow a least-data approach: we ask for nothing we don't need, and hold nothing we don't have to.

6. For firms (white-label)

Our embeddable B2B version follows the same principles. Firms can connect their own AI key (bring-your-own-key), which means document data is processed under the firm's own provider account rather than ours.

7. Your control

You can ask what data we hold and request its deletion at any time. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy; the terms of use are here. Questions about any of this? Email hello@payglance.app.
