This service is provided by PayGlance Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] ("PayGlance", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@payglance.app. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER].
When you use the salary calculator, everything is worked out locally in your browser. The figures you enter — salary, pension, tax code and so on — are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored by us.
The payslip/P60 upload is an optional feature. If you use it, the document is transmitted to our third-party AI provider, Anthropic, for the sole purpose of reading the figures it contains so we can check them for you. The file is processed transiently and is not stored by us, and under that provider's API terms it is not used to train its models. We process this to provide the service you have asked for (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b), performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in offering the feature).
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not show a cookie banner because we set no non-essential cookies. We use only the essential browser local storage described above. To understand overall traffic we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and cookieless: it measures aggregate visits and page views without cookies and without identifying you or tracking you across other websites.
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service: Anthropic (AI processing of uploaded documents), Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics), Google Workspace (our email), and [PAYMENT PROVIDER] (payments). They act on our instructions. We never sell your data.
Some providers process data outside the UK (for example in the United States or the EEA). Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We don't store your calculator inputs or uploaded documents. Email enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires (generally six years).
Under UK data protection law you can access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and ask for portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@payglance.app. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
PayGlance is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18.
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep the personal data we handle to a minimum — in particular, we do not store the payslips you upload.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it last changed.
